Weekly Weigh-In: .6 pounds lost

Start: 327 lbs.
Last week: 243.2 lbs.
This week: 242.6 lbs.
Change: -0.6 lbs.
Total Change: -84.4 lbs

I’m kind of at a loss here. I did everything right this week. I ran every morning, ate well, and even went to the gym yesterday. Running is not my normal routine, so it’s not like my body should have been used to it.  I don’t know. I guess we’ll see how next week goes.

It’s been a bad morning. I barely ran this morning since when I got halfway through the first 1.5 mile loop my left leg (the one with the bad knee) starting hurting pretty bad so I stopped and walked the rest of the way.  It was okay after a little bit, but still. Not a good way to start the day.

Flying south in the early AM tomorrow. California has been good to my weight loss efforts so far, so let’s see what she can do for me for a week! Hopefully the holiday eating doesn’t set me too far back.

Weekly Weigh-In: Lost 3.2 pounds!

Start: 327 lbs.
Last week: 246.4 lbs.
This week: 243.2 lbs.
Change: -3.2 lbs.
Total Change: -83.8 lbs

Bam! With another good loss I am back on the weight loss train, as if there was ever any doubt.  Had a good morning started with a good run.  My Ducks killed Stanford on Stanford’s home turf last night, which was AWESOME.  Plus, I managed to not gorge myself on too many snacks during the game.  All in all, it’s been a good week to lose weight.

I was thinking that I wanted to try and break the 230s before I get back to California, but then I realized that would be next week!  So I only have one weigh-in to work with.  We shall see what I can to.

Also, you may have noticed that the posting has increased this last week.  I started posting something everyday, and it has worked good so far.  I have something already in the works for tomorrow, so we’ll see if I can keep it up.  I’m going to try to, though.

Weekly Weigh-In: Negligible

Start: 327 lbs.
Last week: 246.2 lbs.
This week: 246.4 lbs.
Change: +.2 lbs.
Total Change: -80.6 lbs

I’m a little upset at myself. This is not exactly how I wanted to start my ending march to 100 pounds that I sort of kicked off last week.  This week, however, was a bad one school-wise, so I can’t say I’m too surprised I ended up with a gain (even a negligible one).  I did go to bed last night at 251, so the fact that I was able to work it down into the 246-range this morning is definitely a huge plus.

Tuesday I had a huge paper due, and since I was stressing about finishing it and not eating much, I dropped all the way to 245 Tuesday morning.  I remedied that by doing a little stress-eating Wednesday.  I worked that off, but then gorged myself on chips and dip last night while watching the Ducks game (yeah Ducks!).  No biggie since I worked it back down this morning.  I do need to buckle down and get back on track to walking everyday (stress of the paper got me off schedule) and throwing more running in.  We got the Holiday eating season coming up, and I must say I’m a little nervous at how I’m going to stay on track with Thanksgiving and Christmas eating on the horizon before I reach my goal.

I ran this morning for about a mile and a half.  I ran for a mile, then walked for about half, and then ran for about half up a somewhat steep hill.  Running uphill definitely sucked hardcore, but I think it worked some new muscles which is always a good thing.  Then I walked the remaining mile or mile and a half back.  It was a good morning workout!  Even if I did end up gaining, it feels good to have started the day with a good workout.

Weekly Weigh-In: Another 2.4 pounds lost

Start: 327 lbs.
Last week: 248.6 lbs.
This week: 246.2 lbs.
Change: -2.4 lbs.
Total Change: -80.8 lbs

Just ran 1.5 miles in roughly 20 minutes. Not the fastest time in the world, but I ran it without stopping. Running non-stop is something I just don’t do, so I’m pretty proud of myself. Turkey Trot, here I come!

Hit the 80 pound mark this weigh-in. Pretty stoked about that. I can’t believe this year has only two months left and that I’m within sight of my goal!  There’s nine weeks left in the year, so I’m going to have to go a little bit faster than my 2/week goal. Not much, though. Just a couple weeks with 2+ losses (like this week), and I should be good.

I ate pretty good this week. School has been keeping me down, so I haven’t gotten out and walked that much this week. Because of that, my run this morning felt real good. Once I get this massive paper out of the way Tuesday I should be cruising.

Weekly Weigh-In: 2.8 pounds lost

Start: 327 lbs.
Last week: 251.4 lbs.
This week: 248.6 lbs.
Change: -2.8 lbs.
Total Change: -78.4 lbs

I told you last week there was nothing to worry about gaining! I’ve been doing this long enough that I don’t doubt my ability to keep on losing. I’ve been eating real well this week, so I figured I would be at a loss no problem. I was kind of worried about getting back under 250 this week, but now I guess my fears were baseless!

This weigh-in is particularly awesome because I have not walked yet today. I’m doing a 5K this morning, so I elected not to walk/run before leaving for that. I could have waited until later in the day, but I wanted to preserve the time in which I do weigh-ins (and also that I always do them before I start eating for the day). After the 5K I’m going straight to brunch, so that’s why I didn’t wait. Anyways, it always feels good to have a good weigh-in even when I haven’t done my morning walk to help it out a little. 🙂

Heads up: I have a busy week ahead of me school-wise, so probably no mid-week posts are going to happen. Of course, now that I say that I will probably post every day!

Weekly Weigh-In: 4.4 pounds lost! What?!?

Start: 327 lbs.
Last week: 254.0 lbs.
This week: 249.6 lbs.
Change: -4.4 lbs.
Total Change: -77.4 lbs

Wow, that’s a lot. I had a big day at the gym yesterday. I played squash for the first time EVER and sucked miserably at it, but it was tons of fun. Plus it was definitely an intense workout (by my standards anyways). Then I used the AMT (or is it ATM?) machine for the first time also. I liked it. I could alternate between stepping and running on it which I thought was pretty cool. Once the weather goes south my roommate wants to teach me weightlifting (or more accurately: I want to learn about weightlifting and he wants someone to lift weights with him at the gym!). I’ve also been slowly adding running to my routine, so it’s been a busy time for my little exercise regimen. Plus, me and my aunt have been adding more to our walking route recently, so yeah. Doing good!

Two more things. First, I’m entering my tenth month, which means I’m about 3/4 through my goal timewise. I also broke through 3/4 through goalwise today also which is very cool. I did a little review post for quarter and halfway through, so I plan on churning a post out with my thoughts so far in the next few days. Second, I donated a crapload of old clothes to the Good Will yesterday. I took out all my 3XL shirts and probably half my 2XL shirts. I threw out pretty much all my pants except for 2 pairs I just bought and the next 2 smallest pairs as backups. I also threw out all my shorts except for two, all my dress pants (except for suit pants which I can get tailored) and lots of my dress shirts. The total damage: three trash bags and one medium-sized box (pictured above). The funny thing is that a lot of that stuff (at least the 2XL stuff) was shirts that I hid in drawers or the back closet a year ago because they were too small. Now I’m getting rid of them because they’re too big! That’s pretty awesome.
